Technical Service Executive

Position Purpose

- To support and grow Building & Infrastructure Polymer business by locally evaluating & testing products (especially skim coat/ wall putty) and by developing formulations for customers - To support sales by providing a full range of technical support to customers and distributors including technical training of products, benchmarking and developing formulations

Key Tasks

- Prepare test specimen, test, analyze and report - Record, maintain test results and write test reports - Assist in research to develop custom products - Assist in determination of product formulations - Assist in development of new applications or products - Prepare reports and presentations - Prepare technical reports on product complaints - Provide training / presentation to clients and colleagues - Follow strict laboratory safety standards and upgrade - Manage laboratory activities efficiently and safely - Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment - Recommend measures to improve testing procedures - Visit consumers to promote products and resolve technical issues - Perform other assigned duties

Capability

- Ability to handle basic testing and analytical instruments

Knowledge Required

- Basic knowledge of chemistry / polymer science (cement chemistry preferred) - Knowledge of cementitious product formulation for construction market - Knowledge of standardized testing for building products - Knowledge of polymer modified cementitious applications

Skills Required

- Highly self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Strong analysis and problem-solving skills - Integrity, ethical behavior and ability to build trust - Basic to intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Required and Preferred Education

Graduate degree in Chemistry or Engineering (Civil or Chemical). Polymer specialization is an advantage.

Required and Preferred Experience

Minimum 4 years’ experience in formulating construction chemicals, preferably cementitious products.

Physical Demands

- Travel within India and occasional international travel - Occasional heavy lifting (up to 45 kg) - Chemical exposure - Powder dust exposure

Combination of laboratory and office setting
