Prevention Family Specialist - Erie County Pathways (5886)

The Prevention Pathways Family Specialist goal is to preserve the family unit by providing supportive casework counseling in the home and empower parents with tools and resources to ensure children's safety, well-being and permanency while providing advocacy to ensure quality services.

What is the Pathways Program?

The Pathways Prevention Program serves youth and families in need of crisis intervention and support to prevent child abuse, maltreatment, recidivism back into foster care, and out-of-home placement. The program focuses on strengthening family functioning through intensive, home-based services that identify family strengths, build resiliency, and connect families with needed community resources. Family Specialists work collaboratively with youth, families, County DSS, schools, and community partners to stabilize family situations and promote long-term success and permanency
