Cook (Part-Time) - SPAR Blackwater

SPAR Blackwater is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to join our team on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food products, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the deli and food service area.

The successful candidate must be available to work 2-3 days per week, including weekends as required.

Main Duties

- Prepare and cook food to company standards - Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and freshness - Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures - Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and food preparation area - Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to management - Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the food department - Provide excellent customer service when required

- Previous cooking or food preparation experience (preferred)

- HACCP training or knowledge of food safety procedures (desirable) - A passion for food and attention to detail - Good organisational and time-management skills - The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - The ability to use initiative - Sound judgement with the ability to make decisions - Self-motivated - Good attention to detail - Reliable and flexible regarding working hours
