About the role

About your tasks:

- Improve product recommendations in our webshop and app, analysing customer behaviour and product data to make recommendation widgets more relevant and useful.

- Develop and refine recommendation models, engineering relevant features and applying state-of-the-art machine learning approaches.

- Work on end-to-end Data Science initiatives, partnering closely with Product Managers, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, ML Ops, and domain experts to translate product questions into hypotheses and practical improvements.

- Design, analyse, and interpret A/B tests to measure the impact of recommendation changes. Define success metrics and guardrails, assess statistical uncertainty, and turn results into clear recommendations for the product team.

- Contribute across the full project lifecycle, from data exploration and experimentation through to implementation, productionizing, monitoring, and continuous improvement, with support from your colleagues.

About you:

- You have practical experience developing machine learning models, including data preparation, feature engineering, modelling, and evaluation.

- You have strong Python and SQL skills and write clear, structured code that others can work with. You are familiar with Git and practices such as testing and reproducible development.

- You understand how to develop models for production, including reproducible training, reliable data pipelines, and the trade-offs between model quality, scalability, and maintainability.

- You have practical expertise in A/B testing and experimental design, including metric selection, statistical power, and interpreting results.

- You have a solid understanding of recommendation systems and relevant machine learning approaches, such as collaborative filtering, ranking models, or embeddings.

- You enjoy working iteratively in a cross-functional product team, translating business goals into workable solutions, delivering improvements in manageable steps, and refining models based on experiment results and production performance.

About your benefits:

In order to provide you with the best possible support for your individual needs - whether it‘s living a healthy life, having enough time for your family, or developing your skills - we offer a wide range of different, site-specific benefits:

- Work from Home: If your job does not require you to be present in the office, we can arrange the place you work from individually - even for up to 20 days a year anywhere in the EU.

- Personal development: Grow! We support and encourage your individual development through various in- and external trainings.
