CNC Machinist

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

- 4 or more years of experience as a CNC Machinist. - Experience operating Giddings & Lewis (G&L) Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs), including machining large, heavy, and complex components such as engine blocks, turbine rotors, and large gears. - Demonstrated ability to perform precision turning, boring, and facing operations while maintaining tight tolerances. - Familiarity with CNC controls, machine setup, and leveraging vertical spindle configurations to ensure safe, stable, and efficient workpiece handling. - Passion to build Spacecraft and Rocket components. - Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. - Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proficient in math and computer skills as they apply to CNC machining operations. - Ability to support 1st and 2nd shift assignments, overtime, and weekend work, as needed.
