DevOps Team Lead

Skills/knowledge required for the position ● Good scripting skills in Bash and Python ● Database administration, configuration and basic querying skills ● Real life skills of following the infrastructure as code principles ● 3+ years of leadership experience with a production system on any cloud platform ● Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes ● Interest in big data, scalability, high throughput systems, high availability ● Queue system (RabbitMQ, AWS SQS) ● Monitoring (NewRelic, ELK, Prometheus) ● CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Scrutinizer) ● Knowledge with Ansible, Terraform ● Network configuration, DNS, VPN

Soft skills requirements ● Quick learner ● Passionate, curious, and inquisitive about technology ● Can-do attitude ● Good organizational skills ● Results-oriented and high motivated ● Willingness to share knowledge, teach and learn

Main job responsibilities ● Analyze the technology currently being used and develops plans and processes for improvement and expansion ● Approve code, implement processes, and improve deployment to streamline and speed up daily work ● Manage development of automation tools, infrastructure as code and other infrastructure related necessities ● Recommend performance enhancements by performing gap analysis, identifying alternative solutions, and assisting with modifications ● Participate in project planning meetings to share the knowledge of system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits ● Write specifications and documentation
