Linen Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Troy, Michigan Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM Schedule: Rotating schedule with flexibility required. Training will include some day shifts.

PURPOSE: To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for filling and moving carts to assigned areas within the hospital. Provides a superior level of linen service throughout the hospital in a friendly and timely manner. Must meet quality and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Be on time - Have excellent attendance - Meet established hospital standards. - Follow all company safety rules. - Work well with a diverse workforce. - Follow directions from your team lead and supervisor. - Follow all company policies and procedures. - Possess and maintain a positive attitude. - Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in line with company policies. - Assist with supervising and training staff. - Order linen and communicate with the laundry plant in the manager's absence. - Work beyond the schedule, as transportation issues may arise. - Perform any other duties as the manager/supervisor sees fit

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cross-train in other positions as needed by the facility.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

- Second shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM - Rotating schedule with flexibility required - Training will include some day shifts. - Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on facility needs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a day. - Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels) - Sufficient manual dexterity to build linen carts - Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling - Must be able to perform simple mathematics accurately
