Relief Truck Driver - Gary - FT

Job Objective:

To safely and efficiently operate company semi-trucks, ensuring the timely delivery and pick-up of materials while strictly following safety protocols and supporting the mission of Goodwill Industries. This position reports to the Transportation Outlet Manager who evaluates performance annually.

Essential Job Functions:

- Drive assigned truck routes as directed by the Transportation Outlet Manager.

- Communicate effectively with store personnel to ensure accurate completion of paperwork.

- Maintain daily records of quantities and types of materials transported, submitting reports to the Transportation Supervisor.

- Manually move items using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or poly carts as required.

- Maintain a professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor in all interactions with store personnel.

- Immediately report any truck or equipment malfunctions to the Transportation Outlet Manager.

- Conduct vehicle safety inspections and complete all required DOT paperwork promptly.

- Keep the truck's interior clean and well-maintained.

- Adhere to all Goodwill safety policies and procedures.

- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
