Senior Center Bus Transporter

Organizational Overview: The Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) is a non-profit, multi-service organization focusing primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville, and seek to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational. Goddard Riverside Community Center (GRCC) is a well-established Manhattan community-based agency. GRCC is one of New York City’s leading human service organizations meeting the basic needs of children, youth, and families, homeless people, and older adults through 25-plus programs at 22 sites across Manhattan.

Position Summary: Isaacs Center and Goddard Riverside Community Center is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to operate a 12-passenger minibus for the transportation of older adults, community members, and other authorized personnel. The Driver will provide safe, efficient, and courteous transportation to and from the Senior Center, other Isaacs Center and Goddard Riverside locations, and various program-related destinations.

The Driver is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable NYC Aging requirements and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to passenger safety, vehicle maintenance, and exceptional customer service.

Schedule: 35 hours per week (8:00am-4:00pm)

Hourly Rate: $25.00/hr

Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
