Founding Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE This is a founding engineering role at an early-stage AI startup building purpose-built automation tools for the freight forwarding industry. You'll sit at the intersection of customer engagement and hands-on development, helping shape both the product and the company's technical direction from the ground up. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Lead customer conversations and translate insights directly into product features and technical strategy. - Design and build full-stack applications while advancing the product's AI capabilities. - Transition prototypes and demos into scalable, production-ready systems. - Contribute to shaping the product roadmap, technical architecture, and overall company direction. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications. - Full-stack development experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React on the frontend, and Python on the backend. - Hands-on experience with LLM design patterns, vector stores, and model fine-tuning. - Proven track record taking products from MVP to production-grade scale. - Comfortable leading customer conversations and translating feedback into clear product requirements. - Experience working in startup or early-stage environments. - Familiarity with vector databases or semantic search implementations is a plus.
