Position Overview: The Auto Tech II is responsible for independently diagnosing, inspecting, and repairing motor vehicles in compliance with New Hampshire and Vermont regulations and industry standards. This position performs a broad range of maintenance and repair work, develops repair strategies, and serves as a resource for less experienced technicians. The Auto Tech II is expected to maintain workflow efficiency, provide quality customer service, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Independently diagnose and repair the majority of vehicle concerns efficiently and accurately Perform inspections in accordance with NH and VT regulations Perform proper testing procedures to identify vehicle issues and determine appropriate repair plans Communicate repair recommendations and findings with Service Advisors and the Auto Tech Team Lead Complete MPI and tablet requirements per SOP Assist and support Auto Tech I technicians with technical guidance, training, and troubleshooting Escalate unusually complex diagnostic concerns to the Auto Tech III or Auto Tech Team Lead when appropriate Maintain workflow efficiency while ensuring repair quality and customer satisfaction Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to service center operations Keep current on technical bulletins, repair procedures, and industry trends Participate in required trainings to improve technical and customer service skills Operate shop computer systems and related equipment Participate in department meetings and required company trainings Adhere to all Co-op policies, procedures, and employee code of conduct Other duties as assigned
