About the role
Аbout Shelly We make smart devices and push the boundaries of the IoT sector every single day. Shelly is a strong company with a startup mindset — no bureaucracy, just bold ideas, creative problem-solving, and a team that genuinely loves what they do. We turn every spark of an idea into a real product — from first concept to full production — and bring smart automation to over 3 million households around the world. From heating, lighting, appliances, curtains, and more — if it runs on electricity, chances are we can automate it. We’ve built over 100 smart devices (and counting!), and everything happens right here at our headquarters in Sofia. Sounds exciting? Keep reading... You collaborate closely with Content, Design, Sales, Product, and Data teams to create high-performing email programs that drive measurable business impact. You ensure our email communication is relevant, engaging, compliant, and aligned with Shelly’s brand and growth strategy. Requirements What makes you a great fit: • You have experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, marketing automation, or related roles. • You have a strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, automation, deliverability fundamentals, and performance optimization. • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills (copywriting and editing skills are a strong plus). • You use English at a professional level; additional languages (e.g., French, German, Italian) are a plus for localization and regional campaigns. • You have hands-on experience with email service providers (ESPs) and/or marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Klaviyo), and you are comfortable working with CRM data and audiences. • You have strong analytical skills and can interpret results, generate actionable insights, and report on KPIs. • You have experience with list management and hygiene practices (e.g., suppression lists, bounce/spam monitoring, engagement filtering). • You have basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email template troubleshooting and formatting, or a strong willingness to learn. • You are highly organized and able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in parallel. • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and presentation tools; familiarity with basic CMS/landing page workflows is a plus. • You have experience in B2C marketing; experience in smart home, tech, or IoT sectors is a plus. Responsibilities Your Responsibilities: • You develop and execute an email marketing strategy aligned with business goals, audience needs, and campaign calendars. • You plan, build, and launch email campaigns end-to-end: from briefing and content coordination to segmentation, QA, scheduling, deployment, and post-send reporting. • You own audience segmentation and personalization to improve relevance and performance, including dynamic content and behavior-based targeting. • You build and maintain automated journeys (e.g., welcome series, lead nurture, cart/browse flows, re-engagement sequences, post-purchase and renewal programs). • You manage email list growth and hygiene, including subscription sources, preference management, suppression lists, bounce handling, and engagement-based cleaning. • You partner with Content and Design teams to produce on-brand, conversion-focused templates and campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging and strong UX across devices and inboxes. • You monitor and improve deliverability and sender reputation, coordinating with IT/technical teams on authentication best practices (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) and ongoing monitoring. • You ensure compliance with applicable email and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR consent practices and opt-out requirements for global audiences). • You support Sales and Regional Marketing with campaign assets such as nurture tracks, webinar and event invitations, targeted outreach templates, and customer communications. • You track and report performance using channel KPIs (e.g., delivery rate, open rate, CTR, conversion rate, bounce rate, unsubscribe/spam feedback, list growth, and content usage), translating insights into optimization actions. • You run A/B tests and continuously optimize subject lines, creatives, layouts, CTAs, send times, frequency, and segmentation strategies. • You lead cross-functional projects from concept to delivery, managing timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment.
