Uses welding equipment, blueprints, and work instructions to produce high-quality weldments that meet safety, quality, and production standards. Key Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate automatic and manual welding equipment for a variety of materials and applications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and work orders to determine welding specifications and requirements. Independently plan, lay out, and complete welding projects with minimal supervision. Weld metal parts, assemblies, and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and production standards. Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality, dimensional, and workmanship requirements. Identify and recommend improvements or corrections to drawings, processes, or welding procedures. Coordinate with supervisors to obtain materials and components needed for assigned jobs. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned.
