Lifeguard - Free Training

The YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown is looking for part-time Lifeguards to join our fun, energetic, and mission-driven aquatics team. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain leadership experience, build their resume, and contribute to a safer, healthier community. Don’t have a certification yet? No problem – we offer training for qualified candidates with possible job offer available upon certification completion! Flexible shifts offered throughout the week to include early mornings, daytimes, evenings, weekdays and weekends. Responsibilities: • Monitor pool area to ensure a safe and positive environment for all swimmers • Enforce all pool rules and safety procedures • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and perform water rescues as needed • Complete safety checks and maintain accurate incident reports • Arrive on time and in proper uniform for every scheduled shift • Attend required staff trainings and in-service sessions • Find and report shift coverage in case of absence Qualifications: • Certified Lifeguard • Certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen • Ability to stay alert and act calmly in high-pressure situations • Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude • Must meet physical requirements of lifeguarding (swimming, endurance, etc.) Benefits: • Free YMCA membership • Flexible scheduling • Program discounts • Paid training and leadership development opportunities • Tuition discounts to select NH and online schools • Employee discounts on entertainment, tickets, and more • Retirement savings plan options (for employees 18+) Why Work at the Y?
