About the role

The Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC and offers stevedoring and break bulk services. The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners. The Warehouse Lead Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of both the laborers and supervisors, as well as the management of all front-line warehouse operations. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising and reporting performance; and ensuring adherence to company standards and regulations. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. • Full Time Primary Responsibilities • Manage order picking, checking, packing, and shipping to meet daily productivity goals • Expedite workflow • Schedule work for each work area • Serve as a liaison between the office staff, drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel to ensure process efficiency • Enforce quality control, including clean product, clean aisles, low error rate, and satisfactory productivity performance • Review and monitor security procedures, implement and perform security checks, and observe employee actions for compliance with security regulations • Monitor employee work performance for accuracy, neatness, and adherence to policies and procedures Requirements • 3+ years of warehouse supervisor experience • High School Diploma or equivalent • Experience supervising a team • Basic understanding of computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Excel • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to resolve issues under tight timeframes and pressure • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong team-building and planning skills • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop productive business relationships and influence and educate employees • Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) Work Conditions This position is in a refrigerated warehouse facility and involves exposure to widely varying temperature ranges, as well as all environmental weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
