Job Title: AM Restaurant Server Location: Sheraton Denver West – Lakewood, CO Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager / Director of Food & Beverage Schedule: Breakfast & Lunch Shifts Job Summary: Our AM Restaurant Servers play an essential role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. This guest-facing position is responsible for providing attentive, efficient, and personalized service throughout breakfast and lunch while ensuring each guest feels genuinely welcomed and well cared for. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate guest needs while working collaboratively with our Culinary and Food & Beverage teams. Key Responsibilities: Warmly greet guests and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience. Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the hotel's point-of-sale system. Assist guests with menu selections and answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and available dietary options. Communicate guest allergies and dietary restrictions clearly to the Culinary team according to established procedures. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation, accuracy, and quality standards are maintained. Monitor assigned tables throughout service, anticipate guest needs, and follow up to ensure satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, service stations, and other assigned Food & Beverage areas. Set, clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently throughout service. Complete opening, ongoing, and closing side work according to established procedures and checklists. Accurately process guest checks, room charges, cash, credit card transactions, and other approved forms of payment. Respond professionally to guest questions or concerns and involve Food & Beverage leadership when additional assistance is needed. Maintain knowledge of current menus, daily offerings, hotel services, amenities, and general property information. Follow all hotel policies, health department requirements, food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and applicable alcohol service requirements. Communicate effectively with Culinary and fellow Food & Beverage team members to support accurate orders and timely service. Assist with other Food & Beverage operations, including special events and banquet service, as needed based on hotel business levels. Participate in department meetings, training, and ongoing initiatives related to guest service, food safety, and hotel standards. Salary Description: Starting Pay: $15.79 per hour + tips Requirements/Qualifications: Previous restaurant serving, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in providing exceptional guest service. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment while managing multiple guests and priorities. Strong attention to detail, organization, and order accuracy. Ability to learn and operate the hotel's point-of-sale system and follow established cash-handling procedures. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred. Professional, positive, and team-oriented demeanor. Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential to this position. Must be available for early morning, breakfast, and lunch shifts , including weekends and holidays based on hotel business needs. Work Environment: Work is performed primarily within the hotel's restaurant and Food & Beverage service areas. Regular interaction with hotel guests and team members is an essential part of the position. The position involves handling food, beverages, dishes, glassware, trays, cleaning products, and standard restaurant service equipment. The restaurant environment may be fast-paced with moderate to high noise levels during peak breakfast and lunch periods. Requirements Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, turn, and perform repetitive movements associated with restaurant service. Ability to safely carry trays, dishes, glassware, food, beverages, and restaurant supplies. Ability to move efficiently throughout the restaurant, kitchen service areas, and other Food & Beverage spaces during periods of high-volume service. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks including table setup, clearing, resetting, order entry, and payment processing.
