Position Overview In support of high-quality patient care, we are currently seeking an experienced dedicated and customer-focused Patient Services Representative (PSR). The Patient Services Representative will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and support to our patients. The PSR portrays excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and a passion for helping others. Our ideal candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic, able to demonstrate a mature, dependable, and responsible approach while effectively assisting the physician’s practice in all interactions, be a highly committed team player, a proactive self-starter, reliable, and able to be flexible in a changing environment. Responsibilities · Check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information · Schedule appointments · Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns · Verify insurance coverage · Collect patient payments and provide receipts · Collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations · Triages calls, working closely with physician and/or assigned staff member in responding to all calls in a timely fashion. · Develop great patient relationships and high-quality patient experience · Support all relevant EHR work queue patient care support responsibilities. · Register new patients and update existing records with accurate demographic, insurance, and medical information. · Attend training at our Farmington and Plainville locations · Travel between our various sites upon request. PM22 Requirements Required Qualifications & Skills · Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality · Experience working as a medical receptionist or in a medical office environment is a plus · Previous customer service or administrative experience in a medical office setting is preferred. · Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, Epic experience preferred. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff. · Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
