Join us and become a part of our thriving community of Employee-Owners! We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Industrial market sector. This position is responsible for assisting with the mechanical design on a variety of projects, managing project schedules, budgets, and teams, and ensuring the highest quality of work is maintained. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage in innovative problem-solving, and contribute to the advancement of the built environment. This role is located in Austin, Texas and has a flexible hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities Assist in leading mechanical design projects from conception through completion, ensuring they meet client requirements, codes, and standards Manage project teams, assigning tasks, and overseeing work to ensure quality and adherence to timelines and budgets Serve as point of contact for clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle Conduct detailed mechanical system analysis and design, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed drawings, layouts, and schematics for various mechanical systems Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes, standards, and regulations throughout the design process, obtaining necessary approvals and permits as required Collaborate with electrical, architectural, and structural teams to ensure mechanical systems are seamlessly integrated with all other aspects of building designs Attend project site visits and meetings as needed for project development, design reviews, and construction administration Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited university Professional Engineer License in Texas Significant experience in mechanical engineering within the MEP industry, with a proven track record of successful project management Comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems design principles and methodologies, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems Knowledge of mechanical practices and standards, including but not limited to ASHRAE, IPC, and NFPA regulations Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, establish milestones, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure successful project delivery Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit with a demonstrable track record of producing high-quality mechanical drawings and models Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, other regulatory authorities to achieve project objectives and deliver successful outcomes Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
