Fire Sprinkler Underground Fitter Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Underground Fitter in our Raleigh, NC branch. The Underground Fitter at Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. performs the installation of fire sprinkler systems in industrial, commercial and multi-family settings. This role involves performing underground work under the guidance of the foreman, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely, accurate, and safe manner, and in compliance with relevant codes and WAFS standards. Position Responsibilities: Install, modify, and repair underground and above ground CPVC, C-900 and Ductile Iron fire sprinkler systems Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications Perform system testing, inspections, and troubleshooting Coordinate daily tasks with the Foreman and assist with crew leadership as needed Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient job site Communicate professionally with customers, inspectors, and team members Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Perform other duties as assigned by the underground foreman/superintendent. Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch. Working outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons, including summer months. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Lifting will include up to 50 pounds.
