Our people are: Accountable, customer-obsessed, collaborative, driven Our people are not: Passive, defensive, siloed, hesitant About the role We are seeking a Financial Reporting & Audits Manager, who will be responsible for preparing statutory financial statements under IFRS, coordinating closely with external auditors and managing the delivery of audit documentation and technical accounting support across our European entities, starting with the Netherlands audit. You will collaborate closely with various teams to prepare and deliver supporting files to fulfil external audit requests. You will also have the opportunity to develop an understanding of our critical processes and controls end to end, ensure the sufficiency of business and IT controls in the process, create succinct documentation and reporting, and enable the company leaders to improve our risk posture and better manage our risk. Combining strategic thinking and hands-on execution, you will simplify and operationalise complex audit initiatives. The role requires a solid understanding, including assessing the reasonableness, of the requests from the external auditors and great collaboration with various internal teams. Key Responsibilities: Audit and External Stakeholder Support: Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and reviews, preparing and providing technical memos, schedules, and documentation as needed. Ensure timely responses to audit requests and that all necessary materials and disclosures are provided. Work closely with FP&A to coordinate responses on questions related to forecasts for impairment analysis, going concern, among others Prepare and deliver clear and comprehensive explanations of financial statements and disclosures to auditors and other external stakeholders. Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial operating efficiency and operations. To help us level up, you'll ideally have: 4+ years of experience in financial reporting, with a strong emphasis on IFRS standards. Familiarity and practical experience with the application of IFRS Accounting standards in a tech and/or insurance services environment preferred Extensive experience in preparing financial statements, disclosures, and technical accounting memos, ideally within a global or multi-entity organisation. Prior experience with NetSuite and some reporting tool is preferred A strong individual contributor capable of operating independently with experience in leading projects end-to-end Must be proactive and be able to work well independently and partner with organisational customers 🤔 Why Cover Genius?
