Regional Development Officer

JOB TITLE: Regional Development Officer DEPARTMENT: Financial & Alumni Development DIVISION: Institutional Advancement SUPERVISOR: Director of Financial & Alumni Development PURPOSE OF THE JOB • Advance the seminary’s development program through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of mid-level donors outside North Carolina. • Build meaningful, mission-driven relationships that increase engagement and financial support. • Travel regionally and nationally as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - GENERAL • Collaborate with Financial & Alumni Development leadership in all aspects of the program. • Support annual giving strategies and campaign initiatives. • Participate in meetings and assist with donor and alumni events. • Serve as an ambassador for Southeastern. DONOR CULTIVATION / DONOR RELATIONS • Manage a portfolio of optimally 150 mid-level donors ($1,000–$5,000) outside NC. • Conduct 100 significant interactions annually (50% solicitations / 50% qualification, cultivation & stewardship). • Use moves-management strategies to strengthen relationships. DATA ENTRY & REPORTING • Document all donor activity in Slate. • Track progress toward activity and revenue goals. • Ensure data accuracy with Advancement Operations. OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist with advancement projects and campaigns. • Perform other duties as assigned.
