PT - Direct Support Professional (DSP) Support Services/ Harford County Rate of Pay $22/hr* FLSA Status: Non-exempt We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. Support a woman in the Darlington area with developing independence in her home and community. Assist with being active and exercising while getting out and participating in activities in my community that I enjoy. This might include going out to eat, shopping, taking a class, going for walks, crafts, and other recreation and leisure activities. Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life. This position is: Sunday 11a-4p Tuesday 11a-4p Thursday 11a-4p 15 hours/ week The schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported. Job duties: • DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by: • Assisting with participation and exploration of the community • Cultivating and expanding independent living skills • Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships • Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals. • Complete required documentation (e.g., incident reports, progress notes, behavior data, fire drills etc.) • Administer and record medications pursuant to State and Agency requirements, when applicable \ • Complete all agency required trainings to remain in compliance of polices and regulations Benefits include: • 401(k) Retirement Plan • Sick and Vacation time • Employee Assistance Program • Pay as you go • Short and Long-term disability plans • Support Services DSPs – mileage and activity reimbursement Qualifications: • Eligible candidates must have a high school degree/GED • Must have a current driver’s license with less than three points on the driving record. • Must be at least 20 years old • Must have at least 2 years of driving experience • Must be able to transport people supported as needed • Must have personal vehicle to transport participants * Regular Base rate is $22/hr. There is an additional $1/hr. shift differential for weekend shifts. ($22 +$1=$23/hr.)
