About the role
The Industrial Electrician’s role is to maintain plant electrical equipment for facilities and production. Responsibilities: • Performs a general inspection of plant electrical equipment on a daily basis by completing a general walkthrough. • Lockout any electrical equipment to satisfy all safety requirements. • Maintain building lighting and distribution systems. • Test and repair plant electrical equipment as required. • Maintain plant & production electrical systems in effective and safe manner. • Log parts out of inventory and recorder as necessary. • Maintain plant PA and intercom systems. • Have good working knowledge of plant fire alarm procedures. • Make wiring changes according to code and update electrical schematic drawings as required. • Respond to work orders assigned by Maintenance Coordinator and service calls in a timely fashion in order to keep downtime to a minimum. • Performs preventative maintenance inspections as per recurring work orders. • Report and communicate any problems or changes made via the logbook, ensuring information is shared with all team members. • Report all dangerous behavior or unsafe conditions to the appropriate supervisor. • Behave in a professional manner to fellow associates and managers at all times. • Is a safety advocate; lead by example by complying with all plant and Occupational Health and Safety policies. • Participate in training as required. • Additional duties as assigned. Required Experience, Education, and Skills: • Valid Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification or 309D • 3-5 years previous Electrician experience, preferably in an industrial/manufacturing environment • Strong working knowledge of PLC’s variable frequency drives, and high voltage systems Familiar with schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, power distribution. • Ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision. • Good communication skills, both verbal and written • Experience in mechanical repairs • Troubleshooting hardware by using relevant software and drawings • Ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision. • Good communication skills, both verbal and written Compensation • Starting wage - $36.31 • First Shift (7am-3pm) • Overtime Opportunities • Medical, Dental, & Vision benefits effective after 30 days • 401k with up to 4% company match (after 90 days) • Company Events
