With operations across the country, Denali is growing quickly and looking for dependable people who want to be part of something bigger.

This is a safety-sensitive position. Drivers are responsible for maintaining a clear mind, following all safety procedures, and protecting their own safety as well as the safety of everyone around them.

The Job

We are looking for an experienced Class A CDL Retail Route Driver based out of Lakeland, FL.

This is a 5-day route with an early AM start. You’ll be responsible for driving an assigned route, picking up and hauling food waste from retail locations, and making sure each stop is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.

This is a hands-on driving job — you’ll be behind the wheel, but you’ll also be loading, unloading, cleaning containers, handling equipment, and working directly with customers.

What You'll Do

  • Drive company tractor-trailer equipment on assigned regional and interstate routes
  • Complete approximately 15–25 stops per day, depending on the assigned route
  • Load, haul, and deliver food waste from retail locations
  • Operate 30–45' open-top dump trailers and combination vehicles
  • Operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles in accordance with DOT requirements and applicable laws
  • Use manual or electric pallet jacks as needed
  • Pressure wash bins and containers and leave customer locations clean and free of debris
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Perform basic repairs to company bins and equipment using common hand tools
  • Maintain the cleanliness and basic equipment of the truck
  • Accurately complete electronic DOT driver logs
  • Maintain service tickets, contamination reports, maintenance paperwork, and other required documentation
  • Communicate regularly with customers, vendors, and the operations team
  • Report accidents, injuries, equipment issues, and service concerns immediately
  • Participate in weekly safety calls, training, and safety briefings
  • Use a company computer and cell phone for communication, training, and expense management

Important: Routes and assignments can change based on business needs. Drivers should be prepared to work different assignments, including interstate routes, when needed.

Schedule & Hours

  • 5-day workweek
  • Early AM start — must be comfortable starting early
  • Route schedules may vary based on business needs and seasonality
  • Flexible availability is required
  • During busy periods, drivers may work up to 60 hours in a 7-day week or 70 hours in 8 days, in accordance with applicable regulations

What You Need

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Self-certified as a Non-Excepted Interstate driver with the state of issuance
  • Clean MVR and PSP
  • At least 23 years old with 2 years of full-time, verifiable tractor-trailer experience, OR
  • At least 21 years old with 1 year of tractor-trailer experience if you are a graduate of a truck driving school or have 1 year of military experience
  • Stable work history
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Strong safety record and willingness to follow DOT and company safety requirements
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work independently and stay on schedule
