Development Manager Department: Development Reports To: Chief Development Officer Employment Status: Full-Time Position Overview The Development Manager is an integral member of the Development team who will help bring our fundraising, stewardship, and engagement efforts to life. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, building relationships, solving problems, and being part of a collaborative team working toward a meaningful mission. Experience in fundraising, nonprofit organizations, independent schools, marketing, communications, project management, or customer service is a plus, but we are even more interested in candidates who demonstrate strong character, a willingness to learn, and the desire to make a meaningful impact. Primary Responsibilities Support the planning and execution of fundraising, stewardship, and donor engagement initiatives. Coordinate projects, communications, and administrative activities that support the Development Office. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation while collaborating with team members to ensure data integrity. Build positive relationships with donors, volunteers, families, alumni, and colleagues through excellent communication and customer service. Identify opportunities to improve processes, stay organized, and ensure projects are completed accurately and on time. Assist with special events, volunteer activities, and other initiatives that advance the school's mission. Growth Opportunity This position is designed to grow with the individual. As experience and confidence develop, opportunities may include increased responsibility for donor cultivation, prospect management, volunteer leadership, planned giving initiatives, and other strategic advancement efforts.
