In-house Copywriter and Content Coordinator

Peek is looking for a talented and passionate individual to assist with content editing, fact checking and quality assurance for all content on Peek.com and our mobile App. This position will report to Peek’s Production team. We are a small group, so there is opportunity to have a significant impact on the company’s content strategy and online presence. The position is ideal for college students seeking experience at an exciting early stage travel technology startup with substantial traction. Responsibilities include: Guide Peek’s end-to-end content creation and editing process from initial copy submissions to first draft to live page Serve as Peek’s editorial backstop by fielding edit requests that came from our Sales, Production and Support departments; these edits range from small factual edits to changing the tone of the entire page Maintain live pages and update content as necessary Assert sharp judgment and make edits on a tight deadline Ensure adherence to Peek’s style guide in order to always preserve Peek’s voice and brand Develop holistic understanding of Peek’s creative and editorial processes while finding ways to improve flow and remove bottlenecks Serve as a communication liaison between copywriters and production coordinators Qualifications: A passion for travel! Current Junior or Senior with at least one remaining quarter of eligible study after this summer Communications, English, Literature, or Creative Writing major preferred Excellent communication skills, with a friendly yet professional demeanor in both verbal and written communication Very organized with impeccable attention to detail – you’ll be the last set of eyes before projects and web pages go live Process-oriented, enjoys coordinating work between multiple parties and ensuring everyone contributes effectively and gets what they need Strong computer skills and the ability to learn quickly Prior experience with an online content management system highly desirable Spanish fluency a plus!
