About the role

What we are looking for: Aldridge is seeking an experienced Parts Purchasing Agent to join our talented Fleet team. In this role, you will actively order, track, and reconcile parts and materials for our fleet warehouse. This role is highly organized, hands-on, and critical to supporting mechanics and keeping a safe work environment. What you’ll do: Oversee purchase orders and net term requirements; communicate and partner with accounts payable to ensure vendor payments are made in a timely manner Collaborate with Fleet Parts Associate to ensure proper levels of inventory across parts and materials from vendors Manage receipt, receiving, and storage of parts orders from third party and internal vendors Leverage systems and technology to track, report, close, and communicate issues related to vendor orders Interact proactively and regularly with personnel from the fleet, yard, accounting, and third-party vendors Who you are: Must have prior heavy truck or automotive parts experience Current driver’s license (non-CDL) and clean driving history Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification Experience with parts warehouse work flow and processing General knowledge of desktop computer applications and electronic purchase order systems General knowledge of construction equipment; preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization Possesses a strong sense of responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks and projects Physical job requirements include being able to lift up to 50 lbs Who we are: At Aldridge, we invite you to be a part of our dynamic team, where your skills are not only valued but crucial to our success. What we offer: The hourly pay for this role is between $25 - $30. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for a bonus.
