THE CHAMBERSBURG AQUATIC CENTER IS NOW HIRING FOR THE 2026 SUMMER SEASON! COME JOIN OUR TEAM AND HAVE A SPLASHTASTIC SUMMER! We are looking for enthusiastic members to join our team. Incentive opportunities area available. Cost of lifeguard certification (course only) is 100% reimbursed. Activity Attendant starting pay $10.50 per hour: This position is responsible for monitoring aquatic slides; distributing Lazy River tubes to guests; and greeting guests, as well as help maintain and clean the facility and equipment. Individual should be friendly, team-oriented, and confident in communication skills. Cashier starting pay $11.50 per hour: This position is responsible for welcoming guests; accepting monetary transactions; as well as selling memberships, facility rentals and party reservations. Individual must have exceptional customer service and communication skills, and possess an outgoing, friendly demeanor. Concessions starting pay $10.00 per hour: This position is responsible for cash handling; filling and preparing food orders; and other food handling responsibilities. Individual should be team-oriented with a friendly demeanor. Lifeguard starting pay $13.50 per hour: This position is responsible for monitoring swimmers to ensure safety and initiating emergency action/lifesaving plans as required; enforcing pool rules and regulations; and administering first aid. Individual must complete American Red Cross Lifeguard certification, as well as ability to act quickly and calmly during emergencies. Concession Head/Assistant Manager starting pay $16.75 per hour: This position is responsible for assisting and working collaboratively with other Concession(s) Manager; overseeing and scheduling concession staff; ordering food and equipment supplies; training and leading concession staff; and prepare concession foods, as well as responsible for other food handling responsibilities. Preferred: previous food industry and managerial experience. Aquatic Center Assistant Manager starting pay $17.50 per hour: This position is responsible for overseeing, leading, and scheduling aquatic staff; enforcing pool regulations and welcoming patrons; monitors pool water chemistry through testing water samples; perform or assist subordinates in performing job duties; works closely with the Recreation & Aquatic Center Supervisor. Individual must have good communication and customer service skills, as well as ability to remain calm and deescalate situation. Previous managerial / aquatic experience preferred. Swim Aide starting pay $7.75 per hour: This position assists the swim instructor during swimming lessons and guides the swimming participants through their swimming requirements. Individual must be enthusiastic, hands-on, and willing to speak to participants, as well as willing to take initiative to help. Must be at least 14 years of age, with previous swim experience. Swim Instructor starting pay $11.00 per hour: Instructor is responsible for teaching required swimming skills according to the American Red Cross guidelines to swim class participants. They also will need to be able to demonstrate swim skills, and appropriately convey information to participants. Individual must be well organized to maintain class records. Additionally, individual must be energetic with previous experience with youth, as well as good communication skills. Individual must be at least 16 years of age, with previous swim experience. *Swim Aides and Instructors are required to attend American Red Cross Water Safety Aid Training. These trainings are a half day training and held for 1 week within the first, 2-weeks of June. *Summertime swimming lessons are typically held Monday-Friday from 8 AM – 11:30 AM, as well as some Saturday mornings.
