Engineering Technician (Night Shift) (50647)

Engineering & Technical Support Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications to support CNC machining. Assist in the development and optimization of CNC programs using CAM software. Support machinists and programmers during prototyping, first-article inspections, and troubleshooting. Maintain and update setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentation. Process Development & Optimization Collaborate with engineers and machinists to improve part manufacturability. Conduct time studies and recommend tooling or process changes to increase efficiency. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives on the shop floor. Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement projects. Quality & Inspection Perform basic inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools. Support quality assurance efforts by assisting in first piece and in-process inspections. Ensure parts meet print specifications, tolerances, and customer expectations. Collaboration & Communication Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and engineering. Provide technical feedback during new product introductions and engineering changes. Support effective communication between departments to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
