About the role

The Senior Buyer/Planner at Therakos will act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for global direct and indirect procurement and planning activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective availability of materials and services necessary to support the company's worldwide operations. This role is integral in optimizing the global supply chain to ensure consistent product availability, compliance, and operational excellence. The Senior Buyer/Planner will collaborate across multiple regions and with cross-functional teams to support the business strategy to meet organizational goals within a Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, which aligns Operations, Finance and Commercial functions on demand, supply and inventory plans. Requirements Skills: Experience in Supply Chain management with a focus in planning and procurement/purchasing. Strong global supplier management, interaction, and negotiation skills. Analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/NetSuite) and supply chain management tools Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across regions and cultures. Deep understanding of regulatory compliance in a global medical device environment. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in global procurement, production planning, or related roles, with a focus on direct and indirect procurement. Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, particularly in the medical device industry or other regulated sectors. Experience with ERP systems (SAP and/or Oracle/NetSuite) Experience managing global supply chain operations preferred. ERP implementation experience preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) preferred. Responsibilities Global ProcuremenManage procurement activities for both direct materials (e.g., components, raw materials) and indirect services (e.g., office supplies, MRO) to meet global operational need raising purchase requisitions/orders for required suppliers in line with supply plan agreed on SIOP supply review and other functional requests. Collaborate with suppliers and third-party partners to resolve supply chain challenges and enhance global efficiency. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships worldwide, addressing performance, quality, and cost initiatives. Planning: Develop and manage global production schedules based on demand forecasts, regional customer orders, and strategic inventory targets. Work closely with global production teams to ensure timely availability of materials, proactively addressing supply chain disruptions. Adjust production plans in response to changing demand, supply issues, or regional needs. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain optimal Kit, Device, Drug, and spare parts inventory levels across global sites to support commercial requirements and minimize excess stock. Conduct global cycle counts, analyze inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. Ensure inventory practices comply with regulatory and quality standards relevant to medical device operations. Supplier and Partner Management: Evaluate and qualify global suppliers, ensuring compliance with Therakos' quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Utilize supplier scorecards to track and improve performance across direct and indirect procurement categories. Collaborate with suppliers and third-party partners to resolve supply chain challenges and enhance global efficiency. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze global procurement and production data to identify trends, opportunities for cost reduction, and areas for process improvement. Provide regular reports on inventory status, supplier performance, and global procurement metrics for management review. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with quality, production, logistics, and finance teams across regions to align procurement and planning strategies with Therakos' global business goals. Participate in and lead global continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain operations and support compliance.
