Senior Bid Manager - (all genders) DACH

Why Valtech? We’re the experience innovation company - a trusted partner to the world’s most recognized brands. To our people we offer growth opportunities, a values-driven culture, international careers and the chance to shape the future of experience.

The opportunity

At Valtech, you’ll find an environment designed for continuous learning, meaningful impact, and professional growth. Whether you're pioneering new digital solutions, challenging conventional thinking or building the next generation of customer experiences, your work will help transform industries.

We are proud of:

The Role

Reporting to Valtech's New Business Director, the Senior Bid Manager will lead complex bids from qualification through to contract award.

You will bring structure, judgement and momentum to opportunities, turning diverse expertise into clear, compelling and differentiated propositions.

Just as importantly, you will create the conditions for bid teams to work effectively – bringing the right people together, setting clear expectations, anticipating pressure points and removing friction so specialists can focus where they add most value.

This role suits someone who combines high standards with a strong service mindset – commercially minded, organised and decisive, yet collaborative, thoughtful and calm under pressure. You will have a strong track record of leading significant bids and a good understanding of procurement in your market.

Key responsibilities

Bid strategy and management

  • Develop winning bid strategies aligned to client needs, evaluation criteria and Valtech's commercial objectives.
  • Lead qualification and contribute clear judgement to bid/no-bid decisions.
  • Translate complex opportunities into clear plans, workstreams, briefs and milestones.
  • Using AI as a support to accelerate human creativity, judgement and work throughout the end-to-end bid lifecycle, maintaining momentum and taking responsibility for complete, compliant and timely submissions.
  • Anticipate risks, dependencies and pressure points, addressing them early.
  • Manage bid budgets, resources, timelines, and continually improving how the team bids
  • Creating high-performing bid teams
  • Bring together the right mix of sales, delivery, technical, creative, commercial and subject matter expertise for each opportunity.
  • Engage specialists early enough to meaningfully shape the proposition, not just contribute content late.
  • Set clear briefs, roles and ways of working, and remove blockers, ambiguity and duplication.
  • Build a collaborative environment where expertise is respected and constructive challenge is encouraged.
  • Be thoughtful about colleagues' time, maintain calm and clarity under pressure, and mentor junior bid team members across the wider team.

Bid writing and proposition development

  • Lead the development of high-quality, compliant and persuasive bid responses.
  • Ensure submissions respond directly to client needs, evaluation criteria and the wider context of the opportunity.
  • Work with subject matter experts to turn specialist thinking into clear, compelling content.
  • Develop win themes, proposition narratives and response structures that connect answers into a coherent story.
  • Review and edit submissions for quality and persuasiveness, challenging content constructively where it falls short and giving contributors clear feedback.

Stakeholder and partner management

  • Act as a trusted partner to pursuit teams, bringing structure and judgement while making it easy for colleagues to contribute.
  • Build strong relationships with sales, delivery leaders, subject matter experts and senior stakeholders across Valtech.
  • Communicate early and clearly about decisions, dependencies and expectations.
  • Manage relationships with partner organisations and client procurement stakeholders, creating a genuinely collaborative approach to joint bids.
  • Coordinate post-submission activity: clarifications, presentations, feedback and debriefs – and capture learning for future teams.

Market intelligence and compliance

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the procurement landscape, frameworks and regulations in your market, and the trends shaping demand in Valtech's target sectors.
  • Use market, client and competitor intelligence to strengthen qualification decisions and bid strategies.
  • Ensure submissions comply with relevant procurement requirements, standards and internal governance.
  • Share market insight and bid learning with the wider growth and delivery community.

Essential experience

  • Significant experience leading complex bids, with a strong track record of winning major digital, technology, data or transformation opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, buying behaviors and commercial models in the relevant market.
  • Experience bringing together multidisciplinary teams and helping diverse specialists work towards a shared outcome.
  • A highly collaborative style, with the confidence to lead, challenge and make
