HGV Class 1 Driver

We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Logistics team in Tilbury, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Shift start times:

- 00:00 – 03:00 - 01:00 – 04:00 - 02:00 – 05:00 - 12:00 – 15:00 - 14:00 – 17:00 - 17:00 – 20:00

Pay rates

- 4 on 4 off - £35499.30 basic salary - 5 on 3 off - £44252.37 basic salary

Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with shift allowances premiums and the opportunity for overtime, drivers have the potential to earn up £52680 with OTE.

What you’ll be doing:

- Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK. - Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres - Drivers interested in Night shift will predominately be supporting our trunking operation to Culina Sites - No Cage work or Tipping - Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies. - Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office. - Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards. - Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules. - Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required. - Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times. - No Planned Night Outs

What we’re looking for

- Valid C+E Licence. - Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards. - Minimum 3 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience required - No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions. - Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation. - Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly. - Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements. - Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
