At Redding Ridge, the primary focus is on serving as a collateral manager for Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) transactions and managing majority equity investments in both US and European CLOs. The company was established and initially funded by Apollo Global Management in 2016 to address risk retention regulations. In addition to its core business, Redding Ridge is involved in a growing partnership investing and staking strategy. This strategy allows them to acquire minority economic interests in third-party managers while providing support in terms of balance sheet and consulting services. Notably, Redding Ridge plays a crucial role as the risk retention holder in all European CLOs it manages, and it has the flexibility to meet EU risk retention requirements for US deals, enabling strategic engagement with European debt investors.
