Sr. Accountant

Basic Function:

Under the general direction of the Controller, the Senior Accountant independently performs and coordinates complex accounting activities to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of the organization’s financial information. The position is responsible for assigned components of the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting and analysis, audit support, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and donor-restricted net asset activity. The Senior Accountant serves as a technical accounting resource, supports effective internal controls, and recommends improvements to accounting processes and financial reporting.
