Transfer Coordinator- PRN

The Transfer Coordinator facilitates the inter-hospital transfer of patients from outside affiliates as well as other hospitals into the OakBend Medical Center system. Receives transfer requests from physicians, affiliate represent or families. Information includes demographic, insurance and clinical diagnosis. Assigns appropriate hospital bed for transferred patients to the OakBend Medical Center System. Arranges for appropriate ambulance dispatch based on patient acuity (BLS, ACLS, and Critical Care Medic) for outgoing transfers to other locations based upon the patient level of care necessary.
