About the role
About CareerOS CareerOS is the career management platform for universities and business schools. Most career tools list jobs; we run the student’s actual job search (networking, outreach, follow-up, interview prep) and give the career center real-time visibility of what every student is doing. 150+ of the top institutions worldwide already use us, including Berkeley Haas, Georgetown, Rice, Notre Dame, HEC Paris and London Business School. In January 2026 we acquired Highered, EFMD’s global career partner, which gives us business-school partners on six continents.
The role You’ll own our growth across the US and Canada, from Barcelona. We already work with some of the best schools in the region (Haas, Georgetown, SMU, Texas A&M, USC, Notre Dame) and have the biggest pipeline in the company there, so you’re not starting from zero. The job is two things: sign new business schools, universities and career centers, and grow the partners we already have.
Full sales cycle, your own territory, working directly with the founders. Your afternoon in Barcelona is your client’s morning in New York. You close deals from sunny Barcelona.
What you’ll do
- Build and work a pipeline of business schools, universities and career centers across the US and Canada: prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiation, close. - Expand existing partners: in North America, land and expand means going from one school to the whole university (the business school, then central careers, undergrad, alumni). - Run the renewals in your book and keep those relationships warm. - Navigate US procurement (security reviews, accessibility, purchasing departments) and bring what you learn back to the founders. - Travel a few times a year: partner visits and the conference circuits.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years closing B2B deals (SaaS or EdTech a plus), or you’ve worked inside a university career center and know the buyer from the inside. - Hunter energy: the US has more career centers with budgets than anywhere else on earth, and you want them. We just opened the market and validated that it works, you go get the growth. - Native-level English, spoken and written. Having lived, studied or sold in the US or Canada is a real plus but not required. - Comfortable owning your calendar across time zones. - You live in Barcelona or want to move here.
What won’t rule you out
- A non-traditional background - Never having sold to universities - A CV that isn’t perfect - Not being in Barcelona yet
Career services professionals, we’d especially love to hear from you.
What this role is not
- ❌ Not an account-management seat. You inherit partners, but you’re measured on growth (new logos and expansions) and you build the pipeline yourself. - ❌ Not a 9-to-5. US universities run on academic calendars: fall recruiting, spring budget cycles, fiscal years varying. When a school needs something, we move. You will adapt your calendar to win. - ❌ Not a corporate sales job. No layers, no decks for “stakeholders”. More freedom and ownership than at a big company: and higher expectations because we are growing FAST.
What you get
- Your own territory from week two, and direct work with the founders: you’ll see how decisions actually get made. - Uncapped commission on the contract value you grow; multi-year deals pay more. - The best AI tooling we can buy and a team that actually uses it: research, call prep and first drafts are done before you open your laptop. - A structured 30/60/90-day onboarding; we’ve just run it thrice. - Travel to the US and Canada and the conference circuits. - The Barcelona startup ecosystem. Team dinners, padel, offsites (Italy last summer). - Coco, the office dog.
