Endoscopy Technician

Job Summary: The Endoscopy Technician’s number one job responsibility is to deliver the most remarkable patient experience, in every dimension, every time, and understand how he or she contributes to excellent patient care. The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for assisting with patient care under the direction and supervision of a nurse. Job Relationships: Responsible to Nurse Manager Assignments received from Nurse Manager Positions Supervised: None Core Processes and Activities: A summary of the major job duties include the following. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, as needed and may change over time. Assists with patient care in the Endoscopy Center under the direction of the nurses and the physicians. Practices effective interpersonal communication skills. Maintains clinical and professional competency according to policy, procedure, and protocols and as appropriate for the ages of patients served. Performs job duties in compliance with established safety and infection control standards. Processes endoscopy equipment and instruments per policy.
