About being a Level 3 Work and Train Snowsports Instructor • We welcome applications from Level 2 certified Snowsports instructors who are already booked into a Level 3 Work and Train programme with NZSki’s Queenstown Instructor Training or one of our partner Instructor Training Programme providers. Insert link here: ◦ Work period (fixed term) is June 24 – July 19. You’ll be joining a talented team of instructors to work on our Queenstown mountains Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. After the peak season school holiday period you transition into a fulltime Level 3 training programme under the expert guidance of our world class instructor trainers. ◦ Depending on business levels there may be work available on a casual basis in Snowsports on weekends beyond July 19. This is not guaranteed, work as a casual employee is purely based on business demand. • You may attend a ‘Level 3 Training Only’ option from July 20 if not available to work. If training only is your preferred option please book into the programme online here: Level 3 Work and Train Programme and contact us at [email removed] for further detail About you - Level 3 Work and Train applicant • You’ll have at least 1-2 seasons experience teaching skiing or snowboarding as a Level 2 instructor. • You are booking into a Level 3 work and train programme through a partner provider or direct with NZSki with all programmes commencing Monday July 20, 2026 Level 3 Work and Train Programme • You are a resident of NZ or Australia or hold a current working holiday visa. • You’ll have accommodation sorted in Queenstown and available to onboard from June 24 for a fixed term which ends July 18, at which time you will transition to a casual contract. Onboarding • This will be completed online prior to you attending a ‘Meet the Team’ session on Wednesday June 24 at a venue close to Queenstown. From June 27 you’ll be available for work and on schedule through the Aus/NZ school holidays. You'll be teaching school groups, group lessons and based on depth of experience teaching, some may teach/coach multi-day programmes alongside our fulltime team of instructors in Queenstown. This opportunity is open to those who already hold NZSIA or SBINZ (or international equivalent) Level 2 certification with teaching experience. Requirements: • You must be available for work 5-6 days/week between June 27 – July 26. Work availability is based on business levels. • Please indicate in the application process which provider you are registered with for the Level 3 Work and Train programme from the following options: ◦ NZSki Instructor Training (NZIT) ◦ SITCo ◦ Educating Adventures ◦ Alpine Academy ◦ Snowminds About the role: • Access to a 3 Peak Instructor Training Season Pass which you may continue to use during training once you have completed the employment period and have performed to a high standard. • Staff transport on scheduled days of work and training. You will be shown how to book your own transport on days off from training. • Online operational onboarding must be completed to be invited to the ‘Meet the Team’ session at Queenstown Events Centre on June 24 – this will be outlined in employment contract. • Access to a Snowsports uniform (jacket, plants, puffer) and staff lockers while working. • You will provide all your own equipment including ski or snowboarding gear, ski or snowboard boots, helmet, gloves, goggles, sunglasses • You will need to arrange your own accommodation and have a mobile phone capable of RFID scanning for daily use. Further Information: • Applications for the work component of the work and train programme close 5pm Friday May 1, 2026. Level 3 Work & Train applications are processed from February 2026, we highly recommend booking in early to the training programme to then apply for a job in time. At some point spaces may no longer be available for the work component of any of our Level 3 Work and Train programmes.
