About the role
ABOUT THE ROLE We're a small, technical team in San Francisco building infrastructure for AI labs and enterprises — specifically a marketplace and platform that powers reinforcement learning (RL) environments, post-training data, and model evaluation at scale. Our team includes Olympiad medalists and published AI researchers, and we're on a mission to make the future of RL training open and accessible. We're looking for a Marketing & Events Lead to own our brand voice, grow inbound interest, and build community around a highly technical product. This is a pivotal, early-stage role — you'll be the primary driver of how we tell our story to frontier AI labs, enterprises, RL researchers, and the broader developer ecosystem. This is a fully on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own and execute the overall marketing strategy and content calendar from day one. - Lead our social media presence on Twitter/X and LinkedIn to grow audience, engagement, and inbound pipeline. - Ghostwrite high-quality content for founders — communicating product vision, platform milestones, and technical insights. - Translate complex RL and AI concepts into clear, compelling narratives for a technical audience. - Develop and continuously refine brand voice, positioning, and storytelling across all channels. - Experiment with content formats and double down on what drives measurable results. - Identify high-leverage event opportunities — conferences, hackathons, and technical community gatherings — where our audience already is. - Plan and run memorable, high-quality events that reinforce brand and generate pipeline. - Support the founding team with event presence, including preparation for talks and panels. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required: - Genuine excitement about frontier AI models and a passion for storytelling in a deeply technical space. - Demonstrated experience in marketing, content, or community roles at startups. - A strong track record of growing social accounts or company brand presence. - A writing portfolio that shows you can understand technical products and explain them simply and accurately. - Experience planning and running events, meetups, or community programs end-to-end. - Ability to work independently and move fast in an early-stage environment. - Proficiency with core marketing tools: CRM, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and events concurrently. Nice to Have: - Background marketing AI/ML products, developer tools, or technical platforms. - An existing network within the RL research, RL engineering, or broader startup communities. - Familiarity with analytics tools and growth strategies for social and content channels. - A clear, articulated point of view on how great technical companies build brand and tell stories. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 USD annually, depending on experience. - Opportunity for equity in a well-funded, early-stage AI infrastructure company. - Work directly with a world-class technical founding team at the frontier of AI research and tooling. - High ownership and impact from day one in a small, fast-moving team. LOCATION This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA. We're building a collaborative, in-person team culture. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; we are not able to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
