ABOUT US: Syufy Enterprises is a fast-growing, financially strong Marin-based entertainment and leisure company that owns a variety of businesses, including high-end athletic clubs and spas, restaurants, golf venues, shopping centers, public markets and drive-in theaters. Over the next several years, the company will be rapidly expanding all its brands and looking to invest in new brands. POSITION SUMMARY: The Villa Sport Accounting Manager reports to the Controller and will perform various duties to manage the month and year-end close process. This includes financial reporting, variance analysis and financial statement review as well as assisting with the annual budgeting process. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for Villa Sport division. Manage the monthly close to ensure that reports are sent out on a timely basis. Analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports for accuracy. Manage and develop the billing, sales audit, and general ledger groups. Develop or update standard operating procedures as needed. Develop KPI's for billing and sales audit group. Review and clean up balance sheet account reconciliations monthly. Prepare quarterly external financials. Participate in annual budgeting process by assisting in the calculation of budget spreads and process final budgets into JDE. Collaborate with clubs to provide support excellent customer service. Assist with annual external audit. Special Projects as assigned by the Controller. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree, required with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of five years of accounting experience. Five years of supervisory experience. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Strong oral and written communication skills. Intermediate to advance level of Excel skills. Strong working knowledge of MS Word.
