We are seeking a Lifestyle Associate to join our community committed to delivering outstanding activities to our residents. As a Lifestyle Associate, you will play a n important role in all phases of planning of activities that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:
- Regularly survey and interview residents and work with resident led committee to determine the residents’ past and present interests, talents, and their satisfaction with community programs and activities.
- Develop and implement activities for the residents in accordance with their needs. Recognize the individuality, diversity and spirituality of all residents when planning activities and celebrating holiday functions.
- Provide quality activities to residents in an environment which promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and their individuality.
- Provide individualized attention to each resident to encourage each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial wellbeing.
- Assist in developing and coordinating activities and programs for residents including games, reading, listening, and organizing community involvement.
- Attend to the individual needs of residents which includes providing assistance with communications application, technology based requests activities and identifying residents’ reactions to the various activities.
- Use initiative and judgment to adapt programs to meet the needs of individual residents as well as the changing conditions of each resident.
- Promote positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
- Develop and maintain communications of planned activities/programs. Communicate opportunities and success stories to residents and employees through newsletters, meetings, etc.
- Coordinate the transportation of residents to and from events outside of the residence.
