Quality Control Attendant

POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Title: Quality Control Attendant Department: APEX Salary Range: $17.00 to $20.00 Reports to: Jim Knapp Employment Status: Seasonal FLSA Status: Non-exempt POSITION SUMMARY Inspection of work performed by dock staff and housekeeping staff for all houseboats in fleet. Assessing each houseboat for proper cleanliness, working components, appliances, and overall quality before boats are sent out with customers. Ensuring all houseboats are in compliance with Executive Services' standards. Coordinate activities with other departments and department supervisors to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner. Understand and implement operational standards and procedures for the department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES Assist department leadership with planning and preparing employee work schedules. Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards. Perform detailed and thorough inspections of houseboat rooms, appliances, fixtures, components, etc. to ensure all are working and within department standards. Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection and results, including deviations, and corrective actions taken. Confer with staff and supervisor to resolve performance and personnel problems, and to discuss company policies. Investigate complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action. Report any and all issues or areas that do not meet expectations or standards to appropriate department. Stay updated on Navajo Nation/National Park Service regulations, standards and best practices to ensure the organization's service and processes remain compliant. Fill out checklists/sheets for each area of the houseboat. Ensure each boat is fully ready for customer rental prior to departure date. Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors. Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
