About the role
Position Summary We are seeking a SharePoint Administrator to serve as the primary architect and strategist for our internal digital ecosystem. The right candidate will lead the evolution of our SharePoint Online environment, transforming it from a storage repository into a high-performance collaboration hub. This role requires a blend of technical mastery, project management, and a passion for fostering a culture of knowledge sharing. Strategic Responsibilities • Architecture & Evolution: Lead the structural design of the SharePoint Online environment. Proactively identify and implement platform upgrades to keep the environment modern and scalable. • Knowledge Management Leadership: Design and enforce metadata strategies, search optimization, and document lifecycle policies to ensure company information is findable and secure. • Governance & Security: Own the security model for all internal and extranet sites. Establish and document governance policies for site creation, group management, and external sharing. • Collaboration Evangelist: Promote the adoption of M365 collaboration tools. Act as a consultant to various business units to help them digitize their workflows. • Empowerment & Training: Develop and lead a "Super User" program, training department-designated coordinators to maintain their own sites while ensuring they adhere to brand and functional standards. • Site Engineering: Handle the high-level technical tasks, including complex subsite creation, page formatting, and the integration of third-party tools or custom web parts. Required Skills & Experience • Expertise: 3–5 years of dedicated experience in SharePoint administration (with a strong focus on SharePoint Online/M365). • Autonomy: Proven track record of operating as a "department of one" or leading SharePoint initiatives with minimal supervision. • Communication: Elite interpersonal skills. You must be comfortable presenting to stakeholders and translating technical requirements into business solutions. • Analytical Mindset: Ability to audit existing environments and provide data-driven recommendations for cleanup and optimization. • Enthusiasm: A visible passion for staying current with Microsoft’s roadmap and a drive to constantly improve the user experience.
