Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining full-stack PHP/WordPress solutions using the Roots ecosystem (Bedrock, Acorn, Sage)
- Building and supporting custom plugins and themes
- Developing and maintaining ACF Gutenberg Blocks
- Implementing pixel-perfect, responsive layouts using Blade, SCSS, and JavaScript
- Designing and integrating REST APIs and third-party services
- Optimizing performance on both frontend and backend
- Working with WordPress Multisite environments
- Implementing and maintaining scheduled tasks (cron jobs) and background processes
- Developing custom WP-CLI commands for maintenance, automation, and internal tooling
- Applying clean architecture principles and reusable code practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a PHP Engineer
- Experience with WordPress
- Experience with MySQL
- Experience with Laravel
- Development from scratch custom plugins and themes
- Deep understanding of WordPress core, including actions, filters
- Strong knowledge of OOP principles
- Confident use of Git in a team environment
- Ability to create custom themes and plugins from scratch
- Ability to develop advanced features without heavy reliance on third-party plugins
- Experience with ACF Composer and ACF Gutenberg Blocks
- Experience with WordPress Multisite and WPML (multilingual setups)
- Strong knowledge of JS ES6
- Strong knowledge of HTML and SCSS, with focus on semantic and maintainable code
- Experience develop REST API endpoints
- Experience with integrations third party API
