About the role
Summary Head coaching responsibilities include management of all facets of the Men’s Golf program including but not limited to: coaching/teaching, recruiting, budget management, administration, scheduling of competitions, team travel, weekly practice sessions, hiring and supervision of assistant coaches/graduate interns, community service, student development, and compliance with NCAA, conference and college rules and regulations. This is a part-time, 12-month position. Essential Functions Develop a program of athlete recruitment commensurate with the aims and goals of Regis College and appropriate for a member of NCAA Division III. Plan, organize, and coordinate practices, training sessions, and competitive strategies for intercollegiate competition. Determine policies and procedures for team selection, athlete participation, and team conduct. Coordinate and make recommendations regarding competition schedules, facility usage, and program budgets. Track the academic progress of men's golf student-athletes and provide appropriate support, guidance, and referrals to campus resources to promote academic success and degree completion. Manage inventory, maintenance, storage, and replacement of all team equipment, uniforms, and program-related supplies. Effectively manage the program operating budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources related to recruiting, travel, equipment, and other program expenses. Develop and implement internal and external fundraising initiatives and alumni engagement efforts to support program enhancements, special projects, training opportunities, and other non-budgeted expenses. Organize and oversee community service and civic engagement activities that align with the missions of Regis College, the Department of Athletics, and NCAA Division III. Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches, graduate assistants, interns, and student employees as assigned. Coordinate team travel, lodging, meals, and transportation arrangements for away competitions. Monitor and maintain accurate records related to recruiting, eligibility, compliance, budgets, schedules, rosters, and team operations. Evaluate game officials and provide feedback as required by conference and NCAA guidelines. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and adherence to the rules, regulations, and philosophies of Regis College, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and NCAA Division III. Foster an inclusive, positive, and student-centered team culture that supports the holistic development of student-athletes. Collaborate with the Office of Admission to support institutional recruitment and retention goals through successful student-athlete recruitment efforts. Participate in Department of Athletics staff meetings, professional development opportunities, campus events, and departmental initiatives. Assist with athletic event management, game administration, and other departmental responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics Supervisory Responsibilities Select, supervise, and evaluate graduate intern (Assistant Coach) and all support staff for the men’s golf program.
