About the role
Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a Lead Office Manager to lead a dynamic team and oversee the day-to-day functioning of the firm's office environment. Successful applicants will be strategic thinkers and self-starters who can drive initiatives, build scalable processes, and contribute meaningfully across the firm. We are looking for someone with strong leadership instincts, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a high standard for quality and detail.
Prior experience managing office operations is required, ideally within a professional services or financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of building and leading teams, owning programs end-to-end, and maintaining a high-quality office environment in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop the Office Management team, setting clear goals, providing coaching, and managing day-to-day priorities.
• Own the strategy and execution of office management programs and initiatives that support a productive, organized, and welcoming work environment.
• Oversee front-office hospitality operations, ensuring a consistently professional experience for clients, visitors, and employees.
• Support physical office operations, including lifting and transporting supplies and equipment. • Work with HR to plan and manage the employee events and activities calendar, including morale-building initiatives, team recognition programs, and firm-wide gatherings.
• Develop, document, and refine office management processes and policies to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment with firm standards.
• Partner with HR to administer employee feedback mechanisms, including surveys and listening channels, to surface insights and drive improvements to the office experience.
• Partner cross-functionally with senior leadership to align office management with broader firm priorities.
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
