Holding Barn Attendant

General Definition: Responsible for the upkeep and care of the holding barn and aiding the onsite racing officials during live horse racing. Essential Job Functions: Maintains a clean and sanitary worksite Calls horses up to holding barn for each race Weigh each horse upon arrival Input weights in the computer for each race Provide numbered vests for grooms See that horses leave on time for the paddock and in order General housekeeping and equipment clean-up of the Holding barn area to ensure safety and health standards are being met. Report any discrepancies or problems to onsite Veterinarian's or racing officials. Perform all other duties as assigned
