Electrical Technician

Our aim is to create tailored energy solutions for evolving global energy markets. We are looking for an Offshore Electrical Technician to join BW Offshore's Offshore FPSO - Catcher. The position is part of the offshore Maintenance Team. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Operate and monitor the power plant, electrical distribution system, and Power Management System Perform condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the maintenance management system Maintain emergency power systems and ensure electrical equipment retains the required Ex rating Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as required Ensure compliance with SEMS, Permit to Work requirements, and safe working practices, including safe management of vendors and contractors Prioritize maintenance activities to ensure safety-critical backlog is kept to a minimum, coordinating work with other departments as necessary Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, daily logs, reports, and comprehensive shift handovers Participate in emergency response, safety drills, training, and on-the-job development, including supporting new colleagues and trainees Experince: Offshore UK and FPSO experience is desirable but not essential 3 years’ experience in a similar position Substantial Oil and Gas experience may be used as a substitute for formal qualifications Previous work in a multinational environment is desirable Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills Flexibility, honesty and reliability are considered important factors Teamplayer, able to assist, interact and cooperate well with others Good computer skills We offer: Competitive terms and conditions Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion BW Offshore is committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all.
