- Monitor application-level performance (calc run times, form/report load times, batch job statuses); escalate infrastructure issues to IT.
- Maintains the Oracle EPM Chart of Accounts hierarchy, metadata, and account mappings across planning and reporting models to ensure consistency with Oracle ERP and support accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate upgrades, patches, and enhancements with IT and Oracle Support, validating changes before production deployment.
- Responsible for testing all EPM-related updates once released by the IT Oracle Administrator, validating functionality before sign-off.
Forecasting and Budgeting Support
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting cycles within Oracle EPM, ensuring templates and models are ready for each cycle.
- Maintain and enhance driver-based planning models, data entry forms, and planning templates used by FP&A and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team on planning assumptions, template design, and process timelines to improve forecast quality and cycle efficiency.
- Troubleshoot user issues during active planning cycles and provide timely resolution to keep submissions on schedule.
Version Control and Scenario Development
- Maintain version control across planning cycles, including budget, forecast, actuals, and what-if scenario versions.
- Build and manage scenario models (base case, upside, downside, and stress tests) to support executive decision-making.
- Document application changes, version histories, and environment configurations to support auditability and knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate version freezes, copies, and promotions in alignment with FP&A calendar milestones.
Rules, Calculations, and Modeling Logic
- Develop, maintain, and optimize calculation rules, business rules, Groovy scripts, and member formulas within Oracle EPM.
- Continuously improve modeling logic for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as business requirements evolve.
- Automate repetitive planning and reporting tasks to reduce manual effort and improve cycle time.
- Test and validate calculation changes in non-production environments prior to production release.
Actuals Loading and Data Validation
- Manage the loading of actuals from source systems (ERP, GL, and sub-ledgers) into Oracle EPM using Data Management / FDMEE / Data Integration.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data load errors, mapping issues, and reconciliation variances in a timely manner.
