Job Title: Equipment Efficiency Specialist Location: Cambridge, ON | On-site Job Type: Full-time Compensation: $95,000 - $120,000 Benefits: RRSP, health/dental/vision package, reimbursement for tuition and professional dues, paid vacation, personal days, and sick days The Position: The Equipment Efficiency Specialist is a central role in aligning customer requirements and operational processes. Their key role will be supporting the quotation phase of customer proposals, delivering Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and cycle-time calculations that meet customer deliverables. In addition, they will bridge technical requirements and shop-floor realities using data-driven methods. The Equipment Efficiency Specialist will promote cross-functional collaboration, effective change leadership, and continuous improvement efforts to drive measurable efficiency and quality gains across the organization. What You'll Be Doing: • Collaborate with applications engineering to imbed and validate customer quality requirements into proposals, ensuring specifications, acceptance criteria, and compliance obligations are clearly documented and actionable. • Develop OEE and Cycle time requirements for Customer Proposals through studies, analysis tools and simulations thereby reducing risk and validating the outcome • Participate in customer RFQ review meetings, either on-site at the customer or in-house with primary stakeholders both internally and externally • Technical follow-up and support during engineering, procurement & construction • Identify technical risks and their impact on the project & mitigate their effects • Partner with Project Managers and Department Managers to translate proposal-level requirements into executable plans during project kick-offs, ensuring technical acceptance criteria is understood • Lead change management initiatives to ensure adoption of new processes, tools, and standards; design communication plans, training materials, and feedback loops to sustain behavioral and operational change. • Champion continuous improvement by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and related methodologies to identify and eliminate nonvalue-added activities • Monitor and report on key quality and efficiency metrics, using data to prioritize improvement opportunities, quantify cost savings, and track year-over-year performance gains. • Recognize problems, initiate action, assist in problem solving and evaluate results • Maintaining Quality Control Systems, including establishing procedures, documentation, and stress-testing internal processes to ensure Eclipse consistently meets the required standards. • Investigating process related quality issues, determining the underlying causes, and implementing corrective or preventive actions to prevent recurrence leveraging the NCR and CAR processes. • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with the Eclipse Quality Management System as well as participate in post project reviews in order to refine and enhance our procedures • Assist with Registrar and Customer audits to ensure continued certifications and approvals. Impact and Outcomes • Clear and compliant customer proposals that reduce downstream rework and disputes. • Faster, more consistent roll-out of customer requirements and risk across projects. • Reduced cycle time and waste through targeted improvement projects, yielding cost and efficiency gains. • Broader adoption of best practices and standardized work across facilities, improving predictability and throughput. • Strengthened organizational capability for continuous improvement and an embedded culture of operational excellence. Leadership: • Promote positive relations between departments and with partners, customers, vendors, and distributors • Recommend and administer policies and procedures to support continuous improvement initiatives • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely • Maintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code • Foster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business What We're Looking For: • Successfully completed either a University Degree or College Diploma in applied science, engineering field or related experience • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality assurance • Experience in quality management systems and auditing processes • Exceptional written and oral communication skills • Ability to gather and analyze data • High attention to detail • Automation industry experiences an asset • Experience working in GAMP, ISO 9001, CSA N299, GAMP, TSSA, NQA-1 and N299 fields an asset
